About Troy & Company

We built the company.
You put your name on it.

We didn't set out to build software. We set out to run our business — and ended up building the platform we wished existed. Every feature in Troy was earned on a real shop floor, not drawn on a whiteboard. Now the whole thing is licensed to entrepreneurs who want to own a software company without spending a year and six figures building one.

It started when the marketing finally worked.

Troy was born inside gondola-shelving.com, a wholesale business shipping store shelving to retailers across the country. For a long time, the hard part was getting noticed. Then the marketing clicked — and leads started pouring in faster than we could handle them.

That's when the dominoes fell. Leads slipped through the cracks. We started closing more deals than our process could carry, and fulfillment broke. Orders, invoices, scheduling, and the daily numbers all lived in different tools that didn't talk to each other. There was no single source of truth — and the momentum we'd worked so hard for was leaking out the back of the business.

So we built Troy — one fire at a time.

We started small: one place to handle sales and invoicing. Then, as the domino effect hit other parts of the business, we kept building — fulfillment, inventory, the team, support, the numbers. Piece by piece, Troy became the place the whole company ran from.

Somewhere along the way it dawned on us: nearly every tool we were paying for, we could simply do inside Troy instead. And the moment everything shared one source of truth, it hit our bottom line. We got leaner. Costs dropped. The team got more done — because instead of forcing five disconnected processes on everyone, there was one place to run and manage the entire business.

If it could run a business as niche as ours, what couldn't it run?

That question became Troy & Company. Instead of selling one more subscription, we packaged the entire company — the platform, the hosting, the industry configurations, the websites, the ad copy — and we license it wholesale. You put your brand on it, sell it to local businesses, and keep the recurring income. The part we love most: we still run our own business on Troy. Every improvement we earn on our own floor ships to every licensee.

Starting a software company shouldn't cost a fortune.

The usual path into SaaS looks like this: hire developers for $100k+, wait a year, then start marketing from scratch. Most people never get past the quote. The ones who do end up owning something fragile that only their developer understands — before they've signed a single paying client.

The other path is reselling someone else's software for a thin affiliate cut — no ownership, no brand, no say in the price, and the vendor can change the terms whenever they like.

Troy & Company is the third option. The build is finished. You license a proven, hardened platform, put your brand and domain on it, and sell it at whatever price you choose. We host it, we keep improving it, and the recurring income is yours — whether your clients are e-commerce, brick-and-mortar, or traditional legacy businesses.

The proof is our own business.

What we believe.

Built, not theorized

Every feature exists because a real business needed it on a real day. If it never earned its place on the floor, it doesn't ship.

One place, on purpose

Disconnected tools are where momentum dies. We'd rather do the whole job well than be one more tab you have to check.

Your clients are yours

Your brand, your pricing, your client relationships, your recurring revenue. We stay in the engine room — you own the storefront.
